Pierce O’Brien is a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) and Piano Technicians Guild member whose work begins with music, careful listening, and respect for the instrument in front of him.
A musician’s ear for the details.
Before moving to Salt Lake City, Pierce spent more than five years in Nashville’s recording industry, in rooms where small changes could reshape what a performance felt like.
That experience still informs his work at the piano: listen carefully, understand what the instrument is capable of, and give the owner clear, useful guidance without making the conversation feel technical for its own sake.

Credentials and experience.
Pierce has seven years of professional piano-service experience and has serviced approximately 1,000 pianos. He is a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) and a member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG).
His training includes an apprenticeship with Don Tuttle, a former Baldwin factory technician with 70 years of experience.
